Jack's youth was gone. Suddenly, he just got old and it makes me sad. He still loves to play with his tennis ball but the rest periods come more frequently and last longer. Is time flying by so fast for everyone or is it only me who feels the years pass at warp speed?

It's not only you, Deb. It seems like just yesterday my Annie came to us and now she's gone. And most of my life feels the same way. I wish I could just jump off for awhile and catch my breath.
I've come back to this post several times. It really touched me because there is so much truth in your words. After reading this I gave my dog a little extra attention and a few of his favorite treats. Grateful for the moments I have with him still. I did the same for my cats too. Thanks for the reminder. :)
