Cedar Waxwings

These guys are LATE! Almost two months late to show up in this neck of the prairie. Normally, they zoom through before the fruit trees are leafed out and eat every last remaining ornamental apple and berry. This year the apples have all fallen off the trees which have not only leafed out but flowered. I looked out the kitchen window and saw nearly a dozen at the birdbath but by the time I grabbed the camera only two remained. They were in the apple tree for about 10 minutes and are now gone. Woooosh...
